Aerosmith returned to the stage for their first concerts in three years, performing two special shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 29 and November 1, 2026.
The concerts, billed as California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, marked the band’s first live performances since Steven Tyler’s vocal injury led to the cancellation of their farewell tour in 2024.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl played drums for most of the opening night’s set, which included classics such as Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Back in the Saddle, and Toys in the Attic.
Johnny Depp joined the band on guitar for The Train Kept A-Rollin’, while original drummer Joey Kramer returned for the closing performance of Walk This Way.
The celebrations also featured Guns N’ Roses, The Black Crowes, Heart, Billy Idol, and Sammy Hagar.
Grohl did not participate in the second concert, with touring drummer John Douglas taking his place.
Although host Bill Burr described the performances as Aerosmith’s final shows, Tyler challenged that suggestion onstage. The band has not announced any plans for another tour.
